OREANDA-NEWS. December 06, 2013. POSCO and POSCO E&C were awarded the grand prize and gold award, respectively, in the corporate PR and construction categories at the 2013 The Hankyoreh Advertisement Awards.

The Hankyoreh Advertisement Awards, first established in 1998 with the goal of strengthening corporate marketing competitiveness and developing a healthy advertisement culture, has reached its 16th year. The Hankyoreh Advertisement Awards winners are selected from among advertisements placed in daily newspapers, and are evaluated based on idea and originality, marketing contribution, and public interest by advertisement specialists and online consumer evaluation.

The POSCO print advertisement `POSCO is with Anyone` episode, which received the grand prize in the corporate PR category, introduces various living products made from POSCO`s steel technology such as TVs, wheelchairs made from magnesium materials, magnesium frying pans that are light yet harmless to the body, flexible tablet PCs made with grapheme, and LED bulbs in a study room. The advertisement layout, which arranges a cut of each aspect of life, was evaluated to have gained sympathy from many by capturing POSCO products and technology used in moments of various lifestyles by people from young to old and both male and female.

The POSCO E&C advertisement `Building a City` episode, which received the gold award, was evaluated to have effectively expressed differentiated apartments from other brands, and displayed the future image that The# (Sharp) is striving for.

The `Building a City` episode reflects POSCO E&C`s know-how in constructing an entire city where education, nature, culture, and living come together in the Incheon Songdo Business District, Vietnam North An Khanh New City, and Daegu East Asia Polis, delivering a message that living space was built based on a wider perspective and more in-depth technology. The advertisement was especially recognized for emphasizing the brand philosophy of The# of not being limited by being merely an apartment, but rather building a `good school` and a `fabulous park` together to provide a beautiful city itself to consumers.
