OREANDA-NEWS. December 09, 2013. Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Serik Akhmetov has met with Chinese Premier Li Keqiang in Tashkent.

Heads of Government discussed current trends in Kazakh-Chinese cooperation in trade and economic sphere.

In particular, they discussed the implementation of projects in the oil and gas sector, energy, transit and transport, agriculture and discussed prospects for cooperation in other sectors of the economy.

Akhmetov noted "the positive growth of trade and economic cooperation" and stressed the need to boost business cooperation between Kazakhstan and China. He invited Li Keqiang to visit Kazakhstan on an official visit in 2014.

In turn, Premier of China reiterated China's intention "to further expand and strengthen cooperation with Kazakhstan in trade and economic sphere, especially in the energy sector and agriculture."

The sides expressed interest in further strengthening the strategic partnership in all areas of mutually beneficial cooperation.
