OREANDA-NEWS.  December 12, 2013. About 85% of the state-owned enterprises of Moldova do not work and almost half of operating facilities bear losses-, Ion Prisacaru.

As the press-service of the General State Tax Inspectorate informs, this was announced by the head of the state fiscal service during the "round table" with participation of representatives of ministries in charge of the state-owned enterprises. Ion Prisacaru noted that the state-owned enterprises are inefficient and their contribution to the state budget of the country is insignificant. Assessing the situation in this sector, Prisacaru has informed, that to date from 1530 state enterprises 1289 do not operate at the moment. At the same time, from 241 operating state facilities about 100 are unprofitable.

The head of the General State Tax Inspectorate noted the necessity to improve situation in this sector. According to him, the unprofitable enterprises should be restructured or initiate the insolvency process. If the enterprise suffers losses and is unable to pay taxes, it shall declare its insolvency, if this leads to a certain social risks.

Ion Prisacaru noted that very often the management of the state-owned enterprises is carried out with serious violations of the law, including evasion from the tax payment - issuance of “black salaries”, lack of reporting on the actual revenues, etc. Prisacaru urged the responsible administration bodies to make all possible for introduction of the modern management techniques.
