OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2013. The prestigious anniversary awards ceremony SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards took place at Mossovet Theatre in Moscow. Already for the fifth time the best representatives of the private banking industry, high money management and related sectors were determined.

The award in the category ‘The best bank in the CIS and Baltic countries that provides the services of private banking and high money management for Russian clients’ has been given to Alexander Pankov, President of Rietumu Bank.

Besides Rietumu Bank, there were about 50 of the largest Russian and Western banks, investment and insurance companies among the nominees, including Alfa-Bank, Raiffeisenbank, Credit Suisse, etc.

Rietumu Bank has received the SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards prize for the third time already. Previously it was given to the bank in 2009 and 2012, when Rietumu Bank was also announced as the best bank in the CIS and Baltic countries that provides the services of private banking and money management for Russian clients.

A member of the Rietumu Council Alexander Gafin said: “It is a great honour for us to receive this prestigious award. The fact that this is already the third victory of Rietumu Bank in this category once again provides evidence of its excellent reputation, stable and gradual bank development, as well as of the quality of our service. It is with great pleasure that our work is again highly appreciated not only by our clients, but also by market professionals.”

SPEAR’S Russia Wealth Management Awards – the first annual award in Russia for the best representatives of the private banking industry, high money management and related sectors. The award was established and given by analogy of the famous British award SPEAR’S Wealth Management Awards, which is organised annually by SPEAR’S UK magazine in London.

Over four years the only award in Russia which embraces the best companies and professionals of the Private Banking & Wealth Management (PBWM) industry has gained the confidence of the financial world and become a kind of symbol of authority and high competence, and additional evidence of this is the ever-more-demanding competition in all categories.

According to the experts, SPEAR’S Russia magazine and the similarly-named award take a unique place in the market of PBMW services; it is a rare opportunity to give an independent and objective estimate of the professional behaviour of the members of this community and mark their achievements over the past year.
