OREANDA-NEWS. Aeroflot took delivery of its second B737-800 Next Generation airliner made by Boeing. The aircraft is named in honor of Russian writer, poet, essayist, political and public figure Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

Aeroflot acquired this aircraft under operating lease agreement with Avia Capital Leasing Limited Company. It is planned that Aeroflot receives another aircraft of this type by the end of 2013.

Aeroflot’s Boeing 737-800NG has two-class composition with 20 seats in business class and 138 seats in economy class. The Business class salon is equipped with monitors for viewing media content. All Boeing B737-800 aircraft are delivered to Aeroflot directly from the manufacturer. The range of this aircraft with maximum passenger load is up to 4,500 km. Airplanes are equipped with CFM56-7V26 engines.
