OREANDA-NEWS. December 19, 2013. The Head of the Legal Department of the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) Sergey Puzyrevsky took part in the National Legal Congress in the Section on “Developing Competition and Improving the Antimonopoly Policy”.

Representatives of “Promoting Competition” Non-Commercial Partnership, business community and legal firms took part in the Congress.

The Section summed up the results of 2013 and outlines the main vectors of development for 2014.

Sergey Puzyrevsky discussed judicial proceedings that form enforcement practice. The FAS representative also highlighted benchmark events of 2013 such as adopting the Federal Law on introducing amendments to the Code of the Russian Federation on Administrative Violations, signing the Model Law “On Competition” and agreeing the Code of Conduct of car manufacturers and distributors with dealers and independent service stations. Another important issue discussed by Sergey Puzyrevsky was actions undertaken by FAS to develop the system of class actions.

“We endeavour that all plans outlined by the "Antimonopoly Service shall be implemented in 2014”, summed up the Head of FAS Legal Department Sergey Puzyrevsky.
