OREANDA-NEWS. Belarusian distillery Belalco, based in Brest, increased exports 72.4% year on year in January-October 2013 to 5.043 million decaliters, a source in the administration of the company told.

Vodka and hard drink exports expanded by almost 88.8% to 238,700 dal, while starch shipments reduced by 39.8% to 166,500 tonnes, pure alcohol - 64,000 dal, down 16.3%.

The company exports its products to New Zealand, Ukraine, Vietnam, the Baltic States, Germany, Kazakhstan, Poland, Bulgaria, Turkmenistan, Moldova, China, Azerbaijan.

Vodka output decreased 0.1% on the year in Jan-Nov 2013 to 1.793 million decaliters; brandy - down 6.4% to 20,400 dal; rectified alcohol - up 2.8% to 1.151 million dal.

At the same time, Belalco's inventories stood at 125.1% of the average monthly output as of December 1, 2013.

The Brest-based distillery (currently Belalco) was established in 1897. It is capable of making about 1.5 million decaliters of hard drinks a year.
