OREANDA-NEWS. December 30, 2013. The Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov gave a series of commissions to strengthen support of the national commodity producers during the videoconference “Ukrainian industry: realities and prospects” with representatives of industrial enterprises in four regions.

In particular, on request of the industrialists the Head of Government commissioned Vice Prime Minister Y. Boyko to settle a problem of dumping on cable production by the European Union and Belarus and encouraging of sales of the national industrial products.

“Yuriy Anatoliyovych will take these issues under his control as support of the national export is the task number one for the Government,” Mykola Azarov announced.

To the conviction of the Prime Minister, Ukreximbank pays insufficient attention to fulfillment of its main functions that, first of all, concern support of exporters by credits. He considers that Ukreximbank must intensify work in the direction of support of the exporters: “Now it is important to direct Ukreximbank to perform their direct duties: and it means just support of the exporters by privileged loans and so on, that it unfortunately doesn’t perform presently,” Mykola Azarov noted.

Together with that the Vice Prime Minister Y. Boyko was commissioned to coordinate work on preparing the propositions for the Government concerning conditions of implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU for the negotiations with experts of the European Commission.

Besides, Mykola Azarov instructed Y. Boyko to study the propositions of the national manufacturers concerning an opportunity to stir up motor market in Ukraine by applying the world experience. In particular, it was suggested the funds that flow at the account, for instance, of utilization fee to direct to special programs on replacement of old cars with the new ones, of the national production, at the account of a relevant compensation for the consumers.

Moreover, the Prime Minister stressed that the Government would be working on the improvement of investment climate. According to him, Ukraine’s tax legislation envisages a whole series of privileges bu the work on this issue is on. “This question will be considered separately,” Mykola Azarov promised.
