Irkutsk Aviation Plant - branch of JSC Irkut Corporation was visited by the Russian Air Force Commander in Chief Lieutenant General Viktor Bondarev, Defense Minister Assistant Colonel General Alexander Zelin and Director of the Military aviation programs directorate of JSC UAC Vladimir Mikhailov.

During the visit high delegation summarized the implementation of the state defense order of 2013 by Irkut Corporation. “This year Irkutsk Aviation Plant performed and even exceeded the plan on aircraft supply to the forces – said Viktor Bondarev. - Two Yak-130 which are included in the plan of 2014 are almost ready to be shipped and will be delivered ahead of schedule".

According to the Commander in Chief, this year 18 Yak-130 were sent from Irkutsk to the Borisoglesk Aviation Training Center of the Russian Air Force and 14 Su- 30SM - to garrison in Domna city. "We just came from Domna… Observed the assimilation of new aircraft. I want to note: great aircraft - pilots are glad. And it is very pleasing - said the Commander in Chief. - After all, for many years we have blamed the industry for late deliveries and poor quality products. On the example of Irkut it is clear that the situation is changing for the better: the industry provides high quality products and what is very important not by the end of the year, but quarterly. Whereby pilots are constantly flying and training. The job of Irkutsk Aviation Plant is a good example for other enterprises".

Air Force Commander in Chief expressed confidence that the Defense Ministry will sign new contracts with Irkut Corporation on Su-30SM and the Yak-130. Viktor Bondarev said that in accordance with the decision of the President of Russian Federation the drafting to flight schools is planned to be increased. "Boys who will choose they’re career a real man's job - aviation, will need more of these beautiful aircraft - said Commander in Chief. - With their help, we will raise the Air Force and will prepare a new generation of pilots who will defend the skies of our country".
