OREANDA-NEWS. Under the relevant orders of SOCAR President, starting from January 1, 2014, institutions with no legal entity status of Oil Pipelines Department, Complex Drilling Works trust, and Geology and Geophysics Department will be renovated.
The structural changes aim at moving to one-stage management system from two-stage management. After the changes, the structure of the enterprises will consist of management and production units which will allow increase in managerial flexibility and efficiency and simplification of administrative procedure.

Structural changes do not aim at redundancy of production workers. Due to liquidation of doubling positions of engineering and technical staff, some employees can be dismissed in case if they cannot be employed for other positions in the Company. In accordance with the agreement with the Trade Union of the Oil Industry Workers, the redundancy award paid to the dismissed employees will make 5 wages.
