OREANDA-NEWS. January 03, 2014. Equity investments and the reinvested profit grew 4% from USD 2 billion 558.87 million as of the end of 2012 to USD 2 billion 660.92 million as of the end of September 2013, NBM reports. 

Intragroup credits (other capital) increased 6.5% from USD 889.05 million to USD 946.74 million. Close to 53.1% of the total amount of direct foreign investments attracted to the economy of Moldova originate from the EU. 11.5% came from CIS and 35.4% were made by other countries. 

The share of investment from the EU decreased 0.3 p.p.; the share of CIS investment increased 0.4 p.p., the share of investment from other countries declined 0.1 p.p. In the banking sector, the biggest equity direct foreign investments were made by Italy, Romania, France, Germany, Russia, Austria, the USA, Great Britain, the Netherlands and Greece. In other sectors, major equity investors were Russia, the Netherlands, the USA, Cyprus, Germany, Italy, Romania, France, Switzerland and Turkey.
