OREANDA-NEWS. January 03, 2014. This is indicated by figures of the Balance of Payment of Moldova for January-September, 2013, NBM reports. In Q3 2013, Moldova exported alcohol at an amount of USD 51.41 million, 11.8% up against the same period of 2012. Russia was the major consumer of Moldovan wine and cognac in Q3, 2013. In this period Moldova exported to Russia alcohols amounting to USD 45.21 million, 11.4% up as compared with in the same period of 2012. 

Belarus was the second to Russia consumer of Moldovan wine and cognac. Within the reporting period it purchased Moldovan alcohol at a sum of USD 36.11 million, 23% up as compared with the same period of 2012. The export to Ukraine soared 54% to USD 30.31 million. The exports increased 1.7 times to USD 11.77 million to the USA; declined 11.8% to USD 11.45 million to Kazakhstan; ballooned 48.1% to USD 6.65 million to Georgia. The exports of Moldova alcohol increased 15.9% to USD 6.35 million to Poland; 1.8 times to USD 6.21 million; 18.5% to USD 3.52 million to Romania. 

The exports to China decreased 33.9% million to USD 2.54 million. They stayed at USD 1.44 million to Germany. Slovakia doubled the import of Moldovan alcohol to USD 1.26 million; the export to Lithuania increased 1.8 times to USD 1.19 million.
