OREANDA-NEWS. Inflation in Georgia made 1,5% in December 2013, as compared to November 2013.

Over the reporting period, foodstuffs and soft drink prices were increased by 4,8%. Prices of communal service were increased by 0,9% and for transport use - by 0,3%. Prices in the education field were increased by 0,1%. Prices of alcohol drinks and tobacco were decreased by 0,3%, those in the healthcare field - by 0,9%. Prices of service at hotels, cafe and restaurants were decreased by 0,6%. Prices in the communication field remained unchanged.  

In December 2013 as compared to December 2012, the inflation index in Georgia made 2,4%. Prices of alcohol drinks and tobacco were increased by 8,1%, prices of foodstuffs and soft drinks were increased by 5,7%. Service at hotels, cafe and restaurants rose in price by 2,5%. Prices in the healthcare field were increased by 1,5%, those in the education field - by 0,5% and prices of communal services - by 3,9%. At the same time, prices in transport sphere dropped by 1,7% and prices in the communications field - by 0,2%.
