OREANDA-NEWS.  January 16, 2014. As it was informed in the National Bureau of Statistics, imports of similar products in the same period increased by 4.8% - up to USD 505 million.

According to official statistics, for 11 months of 2013 exports of meat and meat products amounted to USD 17.1 million (-15.3 % compared to the same period of 2012) and imports-USD42.5 million (5.7 %).

Exports of the commodity group "Dairy products and shell eggs" amounted to USD 14.2 million (+53.5 %) and imports - USD 42.9 million (19.5 %), respectively. Exports of sugar, sugar products and honey in the same period amounted to USD 29.8 million (+6.4 %), while imports of similar products - USD 36.4 million (30.8 %).

Exports of grain and grain products amounted to USD 123 million (up 2.7 times) while imports- USD 74.6 million (-3.7 %). Exports of coffee, tea, cocoa and spices amounted to USD 4.5 million (33.7 %) and imports- USD 50.8 million (+1.4%), exports of various foodstuffs and drugs totaled USD 2.3 million (-21.1 %) and imports- USD 70.9 million (5 %). Exports of animal feed (except for unmilled cereals) amounted to USD 8.1 million (-58 %) and imports- USD 21.7 million (12.3 %).

Exports of fruits and vegetables totaled USD 260.3 million (+2.7 %) and imports - USD 111.3 million (-0.2%), respectively. Exports of live animals amounted to USD 6.8 million (-8.8 %) and imports - USD 7.9 million (8 %). In addition, for 11 months of 2013 Moldova has imported products from the category " Fish and crustaceans , mollusks and aquatic invertebrates " in the amount of USD 46 million (+1.9 %) , which is not in the list of Moldovan exports .
