OREANDA-NEWS. Tele2, an alternative mobile operator, has summed up roaming results over New Year holidays. Mobile data increased two-fold compared to the same period last year.

Most wanted holiday destinations were CIS countries, the Baltics and Scandinavian states. These locations were selected by over a half of Tele2 subscribers who used international roaming services from 31 December 2013 to 8 January 2014. Most tourists went to such countries as Finland, Kazakhstan, Poland, Ukraine, Belarus, Estonia and Germany.

Apart from favorite tourist destinations (Egypt, Turkey and Thailand), Tele2 subscribers also travelled to long-haul getaways such as Saint Kitts and Nevis, Guatemala, Guam, Bahrain, Congo, Trinidad and Tobago.
Most active users of mobile Internet were subscribers who spent their vacation in Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Kazakhstan and Norway.
