OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2014. TATNEFT Company continues developing advanced technologies for reservoir pressure maintenance (RPM) aimed at reducing energy costs and increasing production efficiency.

Today, they are focused on protecting injection wells downhole equipment from high pressure and corrosion, as well as comprehensive process optimization of the RPM system.
212 new injection wells were commissioned in 2013. A dual injection technology was introduced at 166 injection wells. Since the beginning of the technology application    it has been installed at 576 wells with additional production resulting from the dual injection operations amounting to 1,144.3 thousand tons.

M1-X packers were installed in 486 injection wells under the program being implemented at JSC TATNEFT to protect the wells' strings against high pressure and corrosion failure. Totally   4030 injection wells of the Company have been equipped with M1-X packers.
For the purpose of the oilfield equipment corrosion protection in the injection wells TATNEFT use anticorrosive tubing. Polymer-coated tubing strings were installed in 476 injection wells operating with waste and formation water. Protected tubing strings have been introduced at 6,593 injection wells since the beginning of the program implementation.

The pilot operation of displacement pumps manufactured by WEPUKO and KAMAT Companies was continued in 2013 to optimize the energy consumption in the reservoir pressure maintenance system. Under control operation of energy-efficient plunger pumps will be continued in 2014.
