OREANDA-NEWS. February 05, 2014. TatNIPIneft, being one of the largest research centers of the oil industry, continues systematically to build up the intellectual property of JSC TATNEFT. The inventive potential of the Institute aims at real engineering developments.

The economic effect of JSC TATNEFT's TatNIPIneft activities for 9 months of 2013 amounted to 3,170,600,000 rubles (2,980.3 million rubles in 2012) including 2,508.4 million rubles (2,208.9 million rubles in 2012) through additional oil production and 662.2 million rubles (771.4 million rubles in 2012) at the expense of resources saving.

78 applications for patents for inventions and 5 applications for state registration of computer programs were submitted to FIPS (Federal Institute for Industrial Property) during the past year.
99 patents for inventions, 4 patents for utility models and 3 certificates of the state registration of computer programs were granted in 2013.

The Institute has aimed its inventive potential at real engineering developments.
Pending at foreign patent offices there are five applications for inventions in the field of drilling and development of oil fields. The Register of foreign patents being maintained in force includes 14 patents in 8 countries.

The obtained patents for inventions, utility models and certificates for computer programs certify the exclusive right of the copyright holder JSC TATNEFT for the created inventions, utility models and computer programs.

The inventive activities of the TatNIPIneft professionals last year were primarily focused on development of technologies aimed at improving the efficiency of well drilling, operation and workover, as well as development of new enhanced oil  recovery methods.
