OREANDA-NEWS. Mikhailovcement, part of EUROCEMENT group, following the results of its operations in 2013, demonstrates growth in all manufacturing metrics. Over the reporting period, the enterprise produced 1,181 thousand tons of clinker (semi-finished material for cement production) and 1,359 thousand tons of cement, which represents an increase of 3.1% (35,200 tons) and 7.2% (91,600 tons) respectively over the metrics of the corresponding period of the previous year.

Over 2013, the enterprise delivered 1,355 thousand tons of high quality and environmentally friendly cement to its customers, exceeding the results of the corresponding period of the previous year by 6.6% (83.8 thousand tons). At the same time, the growth of produce delivery by road transport amounted to 15.7%.

At Mikhailovcement, steady growth has also been recorded in bagged cement shipping. Based on the results of 2013, 168.7 thousand tons of packaged cement (in 50kg three-layer paper bags) were shipped, which is an increase of 10.7% over the corresponding period of the previous year.

The share of CEM II/A_Sh 32,5B cement remains consistently high at more than half of overall production. At the same time, high growth has been observed in consumer demand for the high-strength cement CEM I 42,5N. Altogether in 2013, Mikhailovcement produced 253.3 thousand tons of cement of this type, which is over 12,6 times (233.2 thousand tons) more than in the previous year.

“The significantly increased demand for the enterprise's produce in 2013 is explained by its extremely high quality, in addition to the release of a new form of cement for the plant, CEM I 42,5N, the manufacture of which began in 2012. Right now, this high-strength cement is in great demand among consumers in Moscow and the Moscow, Ryazan, Tula, Vladimir, and Ivanovo regions and other areas of Russia where the enterprise delivers its produce”, said the General Director of Mikhailovcement Igor Nikolenko.
