OREANDA-NEWS. February 17, 2014. Sberbank of Russia announces that Andrey Donskih, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia and Head of Sberbank CIB, is leaving the company.

The duties of the Head of Sberbank CIB will be carried out by Alexander Bazarov, Deputy Head of Sberbank CIB, Member of the Board, Senior Vice President of Sberbank of Russia.

CEO and Chairman of the Board of Sberbank of Russia Herman Gref commented: “Sberbank thanks Andrey Donskih for his significant contribution to the development of the Bank’s corporate business, which currently has a leading position in the Russian market. During the years Mr. Donskih spent at Sberbank the corporate block was significantly strengthened, the integration with Troika Dialog was completed and Sberbank CIB’s corporate and investment banking business was created. This is a joint decision by Andrey Donskih and Sberbank and we support Andrey’s intention to give new direction to the development of his career. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”

Andrey Donskih has over two decades of experience working in Russia’s financial industry. He joined Sberbank of Russia in March 2010 as Deputy Chairman of the Board. Prior to this he held a number of executive positions in various major banks, including Chairman of the Management Board of Uralsib Bank and CEO of the corporation.

Mr. Donskih has degrees in economics and finance. He is a recipient of the Order for Distinguished Service, Second Class.
