OREANDA-NEWS. February 19, 2014. His Excellency Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry and Chairman and Managing Director of Qatar Petroleum (QP), delivered the opening speech at the QP Planning Forum 2014, which was launched earlier today at Four Seasons Hotel Doha and will be held until tomorrow.
 
The QP Planning Forum 2014 is being attended by top officials from the corporation’s various directorates and departments, and it serves as a venue for an in-depth discussion of QP’s corporate strategy and business plans for the current year.
 
In his opening speech, H.E. Dr. Al-Sada said: “The year 2014 comes at the heels of a successful year during which Qatar Petroleum and its affiliates have achieved many milestones. We are planning ahead for future achievements to keep the momentum of our success.”
 
“I am confident that our future plans will encompass our strategic objective as highlighted by our vision and as dedicated by our role in the development of Qatar,” H.E. Dr. Al-Sada added.
 
His Excellency’s speech was followed by a presentation by Mr. Issa Shahin Al-Ghanim, Director of the Strategic Planning & Policy Directorate, who provided an overview of QP’s corporate business plan.
 
Next were presentations on the implementation of QP’s strategy in their respective directorates by Mr. Saad Sherida Al-Kaabi, Director of Oil & Gas Ventures; Mr. Said Mubarak Al-Mohannadi, Director of Operations, Mr. Saad Rashid Al-Muhannadi, Director Technical; Mr. Saif Saed Al-Naimi, Director of HSE Regulations & Enforcement; and Mr. Abdulaziz Abdulla Al-Ansari, Director of Industrial Security. Their presentations focused on their business plans and the measures that they will implement to address the challenges faced in their operations.
 
The QP Planning Forum 2014 will conclude tomorrow with presentations from the Administration Directorate, Finance Directorate, Corporate HSE Department, Downstream Ventures Directorate, Refining Directorate, Industrial Cities Directorate, Research & Technology Department, Public Relations & Communications Department, Corporate Purchasing & Contracts Department, Internal Audit Department and Legal Department.
