OREANDA-NEWS. In 2013, 266 workers of the Maltsovsky Portlandcement plant, part of EUROCEMENT group, took part in training, re-training, and qualification programs. Eighteen of them were young specialists.

223 specialists underwent training in educational facilities and training centers, receiving the corresponding certificates allowing them to perform work in a related or additional profession. 22 engineering and technical solutions workers in the corporate personnel reserve took part in the practical course “Personnel Reserve Training Center. Management Skills”. At the seminar, the plant's leading managers and specialists were introduced to the success factors of managing people and the conditions for instilling the motivation to succeed.

Under a long-term personnel training program, 31 of the plant's workers are continuing their education in the higher education institutions of Bryansk, Belgorod, Moscow and Saint Petersburg.

EUROCEMENT group pays particular attention to the professional development of its young specialists, which includes their adjustment to their vocations and specializations, in addition to increasing their qualifications and their engagement in scientific/technical and innovation activities. In order to reach these goals, they are assigned tutors from the ranks of the experienced workers; the plant has an active Young Specialists Council; training and development is organized for young colleagues (training sessions, lectures and practical seminars are carried out); yearly intraplant scientific and technical conferences are held, the winners of which present their work at the corporate meeting of young specialists: Inspired with Success.

At a new high tech EUROCEMENT group factory in the Podgorensky settlement of the Voronezh region, a Corporate University has begun to operate. This educational site works all year round and trains the group's specialists of various professions. The lecturers in the Corporate University are both EUROCEMENT group specialists and guest trainers. The Corporate University's training classes are fitted out with the most modern technological equipment, providing the capability to combine theoretical and practical exercises.

From Maltsovsky Portlandcement, General Director Nikolai Karyakin, Technical Director Sergey Bychkov, Head of Personnel Management Elena Savina, Head Mechanic Dmitry Evseenko, QC Dept. and Laboratory Head Svetlana Andriyanova, and Head Technologist Irina Sheboldenkova all underwent training in the Corporate University program “Modernizing Equipment and Reconstructing Cement Plants”.
