OREANDA-NEWS.  Ryanair, Belgium’s biggest airline, today (27 Feb) opened its  2nd Belgian base at Brussels Zaventem with 4 based aircraft and 10 exciting routes, delivering up to 1.5m passengers p.a. and sustaining some 1,500 “on-site” jobs* at Brussels Zaventem Airport with 200 weekly flights.
 
In 2014, Ryanair’s growth at Brussels Zaventem will deliver:

10 routes to Alicante, Barcelona, Ibiza, Lisbon, Malaga, Palma, Porto, Rome, Valencia & Venice
Over 1.5m passengers
Over 1,500* jobs sustained
Over €283m saved by passengers annually.
 
Ryanair celebrated the opening of its new Brussels Zaventem base by releasing 100,000 seats on sale at prices from €19.99 for travel in April and May, which are available for booking until midnight Monday (3 Mar). 
 
In Brussels today, Ryanair’s Chief Marketing Officer, Kenny Jacobs said:
