OREANDA-NEWS. March 14, 2014. FSUE “Rosmorport” North-West Basin Branch order No. 180 established the new procedure for FSUE “Rosmorport” North-West Basin Branch services on collection, usage, treatment and placement of wastes of III-IV classes of hazard from vessels staying in the water area of Ust-Luga Seaport and paying ecological dues.

The document was amended, as the North-West Basin Branch is trying to improve its activities in the field of shipboard waste treatment, and also because of the necessity to make the document comply with the new requirements of MARPOL Annex V (resolution MEPC.201(62)), by which the classification of shipboard wastes was changed.

Besides, the new document sets a unified time period for filling of applications for waste treatment, and also cancels the procedure of informing the port athorities on the presence of shipboard wastes before entering Ust-Luga Seaport.

The new procedure for rendering services on on collection, usage, treatment and placement of wastes of III-IV classes of hazard  by the FSUE “Rosmorport” North-West Basin Branch in Ust-Luga Seaport is effective from 01 March 2014.
