OREANDA-NEWS. Theatrical performances are taking place at Kindergarten No. 20 as part of Metalloinvest's Healthy Child programme. This format to deliver the programme's material was chosen on purpose. A situation, used to full effect and played out in the form of a story - the genre children are most familiar with - will be more memorable, comprehensible and will evoke a range of positive emotions.

Over the course of two weeks, almost all classes at the kindergarten will stage productions, which will cover healthy eating, hygiene, and exercise - all things that are necessary for healthy living from infancy. The theme is common to all - “How best to live healthily”.

The teachers, children and parents invent the stories, choose appropriate music, and sew the costumes themselves.

Specialists who work with children attend the performances: speech therapists, psychologists, paediatricians, and teaching staff. They advise parents on current issues, answer questions, and give recommendations and advice.

Kindergarten No. 20 is one of the first institutions to be included in the implementation of Metalloinvest's Healthy Child programme. In 2012, the kindergarten won third place in the national contest Healthy Russia. As part of the programme, the Company has spent 100,000 rubles on renovating the kindergarten's sports hall and acquiring sports equipment. In 2013, the kindergarten won a competition held by Metalloinvest for the best project to help children adapt to a pre-school institution, and won a grant of 450,000 rubles for the implementation of the project. With these funds, a playground was built, the psychology unit was renovated, and a sensory room was opened. With the support of the Company, the information programme Avers Nutrition has been introduced, enabling an improvement in the quality of the children's food.
