OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2014. The Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS Russia) initiated a case against the Government and the Department of Agriculture and Food Products of the Ivanovo region.

According to Deputy Head of the FAS Department for Control over Chemical Industry and Agro-Industrial Complex, Irina Epifanova, the case was initiated upon the findings of an unscheduled on-site inspection of the Department of Agriculture and Food Products of the Ivanovo region. FAS exposed elements of violating the antimonopoly law in the part of creating discriminatory conditions for agricultural producers, involved in crop production.

The Government of the Ivanovo region is also brought into the proceedings as the body that passed decrees introducing amendments to the Decree of Government of the Ivanovo region “On Approving the Procedures for Granting Subsidies for State Support of Agricultural Production” and restricting the range of agricultural producers that are entitled to subsidies.
