OREANDA-NEWS. March 27, 2014. The Reform Party confirmed their ministerial candidates, naming Tartu mayor Urmas Kruuse as the prospective health and labor minister, who considers the employment reform as the most important step.

Prime minister candidate Taavi Roivas highlighted Kruuse’s direct experience at the local government, ETV reported.

His field of work will be great, having to deal with all Estonian healthcare issues. However, Kruuse himself considers the employment reform the most important thing to tackle.

“We must at last get to the point where everyone who wants to work, no matter what the opportunities are at the given moment, must be able to be active in the labor market according to their abilities. This requires negotiations between many social partners, employers and employees must be in agreement in order to change the system,” Kruuse said.
