OREANDA-NEWS. KAMAZ’s subsidiary – Neftekamsk Automobile Plant – won in the competition for Bashkortostan’s President’s prizes for the quality of products (goods, services) in 2013.
The prizes are awarded annually on a competitive basis for achieving significant results in terms of the quality of goods and services, their protection, the introduction of effective quality management methods. KAMAZ’s subsidiary in Bashkortostan showed good results not only in the sphere of quality assurance. Last year the company broke even: its sales profit in 2013 amounted to 400.7 million rubles.
The revenue of Neftekamsk Automobile Plant exceeded 9.4 billion rubles, only six per cent less than in 2012. Besides, the company sold more basic products – dump trucks – than last year (100.7 % against 2012) and exceeded business plan targets more than by 11 percent.
The volume of delivered products, goods and services rendered amounted to almost 9.5 billion rubles. The business plan is 93.5 percent executed.
According to the results of 2013, Neftekamsk Automobile Plant took a 9% share in the trailer market, 18% in the tanker market, and 12% in the market of large-class passenger buses. The share of new vehicles in the production volume was 16.9 percent.
Neftekamsk Automobile Plant pays much attention to investments: last year it allocated 116 million rubles for implementation of investment projects, including a new product development program – 34.1 million rubles, investment in fixed assets – 81.9 million rubles. For example, a coordinate multiple electrode welding machine by Ideal (Germany) for box-shape tippers was installed in the dumper production shop. Also the company purchased a robot system for assembly and welding of rear sides of tippers from Fanuc (Switzerland). Moreover, the company finished the second stage of building facilities for the manufacture of oval-section tippers and purchased semi-automatic welding machines from Lincoln (United States). Last year, the company bought a tool by Botek (Germany) for the production of hydraulic cylinders.
At the same time, the factory managed to obtain an economic effect of RUB 397 million from lean production activities.
