OREANDA-NEWS. Kirovsky Zavod continues to renew its military and special-purpose machine production facilities. Early in the year, Universalmash (a subsidiary of the Kirov Group) purchased state-of-the-art welding equipment, which will speed up work in the welding area by 25%.

Universalmash has purchased powerful and compact latest-generation inverters. The machines were produced in strict compliance with the European standards and conform to the requirements of the EU regulations for low-voltage equipment with respect to electromagnetic compatibility. The machines are intended for welding such surfaces as stainless and low-carbon steel, as well as operations with aluminium, titanium and copper-nickel alloys, providing a clean and smooth weld. The new equipment will speed up work in the welding area by 25%.

The machining equipment is being modernized in order to intensify production, reduce the lead times, improve the products' quality and enhance the enterprise's competencies in the manufacture of new types of high-tech products.
