OREANDA-NEWS. On April 22, the leader of the Republic of Khakassia, the Chair of the Government of the Republic Mr. Victor Zimin and the Siberian Coal Energy Company (SUEK) CEO Vladimir Rashevsky signed an agreement on socioeconomic cooperation.

The document specifies key areas of the work to be shared by the Republic, SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGC (TGC-13) in implementing the essential socioeconomic projects located in Khakassia.

In total, SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGC are to finance nearly 50 vital social projects in the Republic. Major efforts will be directed to supporting education and culture, sports and health care, kindergartens, schools and orphanages, aid to veterans, the socially underprivileged locals on all territories hosting homes of employees of SUEK and Eniseyskaya TGC. This year, SUEK is also going to help organize festivities marking the 70th anniversary of the Altai Territory and the 90th anniversary of the Ust Abakan Region. The Company will be supporting Republic-scale projects, such as Forum "Historical and cultural legacy as a resource for sociocultural development", International festival of puppet theaters "Cheer Chayan" focused on protecting environmental and ethnic identities. SUEK Labour Squads Project is going to be underway. SUEK will also continue with a mortgage project to enhance its employees' standard of living.
