OREANDA-NEWS. The Government of Belarus has approved a register of 22 top-priority investment projects to be implemented in 2014, the government's press-service said in a release.

“The list includes 22 investment projects that will be implemented, first of all, in the production sector of the economy, i.e. chemical and food industry, railway and aviation transport, construction and agricultural sectors. All the projects were selected by experts the Economy Ministry and government bodies,” said representatives of the government commenting on the document.

The projects suggest creating production of import-substituting and export-oriented products, implementing innovation technologies and resource-saving principles.

In particular, the government plans to expand the capacity of OAO BelAZ to manufacture rock haulers with total payload ranging from 90 to 450 tonnes, retool and install new production lines at OAO MAZ, OAO MTZ and OAO Gomselmash, renew the rolling stock at the Belarusian Railways and the aircraft fleet at OAO Belavia.
