OREANDA-NEWS. The government of Belarus adopted a resolution in March 2014 (effective April 4, 2014) to channel all exports of dairy products through Belarus' Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE).

Russian dairy producers, who repeatedly accused Belarus of selling dairy products in Russia at dumping prices, applaud the decision of the Belarusian government, as the move will make transparent the price formation mechanism behind Belarusian dairy exports.

Belarus' share of the Russian dairy market is not expected to reduce as a result on the new approach to dairy exports, Russian experts say.

In the meantime, Belarus and Russia are discussing the prospects of establishing joint ventures in the sector of dairy production, Russia's Vice Minister of Agriculture Andrei Volkov told reporters on Thursday.
