OREANDA-NEWS. EUROCEMENT-UKRAINE, part of EUROCEMENT group, shipped 73,767 tons of cement to its customers in January and February 2014, a 10.7% increase on the results for the equivalent period last year (7,137 tons).

The cements for which there was greatest demand among consumers were CEM I 42.5N and CEM II/A-S 32.5R. In the first two months of 2014, 42,935 tons of these types of cement were shipped, which was 33.6% more than in the equivalent period in 2013. The cements CEM I 42.5 and CEM II/A-S 32.5 are widely used in the construction of residential housing and commercial buildings, as well as road surfaces.

It should be said that these types of cement are certified for compliance with the requirements of standard EN197-1:2011, which means that the company can now use the letters 'CE' when labelling its products, in order to certify that they will not cause any harm to consumers' health or to the environment, and also that they satisfy the main requirements of EU directives and the European Union's harmonized standards.
