OREANDA-NEWS. More than 95,000 travellers worldwide took part in the survey by the travel website TripAdvisor. From A for airline to Z for zoom lens, travellers from twelve countries chose the brands that they would not travel without. In Germany, Lufthansa was voted the most popular airline brand.

“It is a special honour for us, when thousands of travellers in the TripAdvisor community vote Lufthansa into the top spot as the best German airline. It makes us particularly happy that high-quality and innovative travel options have a particularly significant value in the TripAdvisor Travelers’ Choice awards,” said Jens Bischof, Member of the Lufthansa German Airlines Board – Sales, Product and Marketing. “The award shows that our continuous efforts and investments to make the Lufthansa travel experience the best travel experience are being recognized by our passengers.”

Starting in autumn, Lufthansa passengers will be able to enjoy the benefits of up to 50 per cent more room in the new Premium Economy Class on long-haul flights, and it can be booked soon. In addition, the entire long-haul fleet is currently being fitted with the new Business Class. The new First Class which has been awarded with five stars is already available on board 70 per cent of the long-haul aircraft. A range of new services will be introduced this year too – including a more individualised meal service, new amenity kits in Business Class, enhanced fast lane facilities for status and premium customers and a new communications and entertainment programme on medium-haul routes.
