OREANDA-NEWS. Iraq's monthly oil exports reached 2.512 million barrels per day(bpd) in April, Iraq's oil ministry spokesman said. Exports rose from 2.139 million bpd in March, ministry spokesman Asim Jihad said, adding that 2.509 million bpd was shipped from Basra, the highest figure from the southern oil region since 2003.

Iraq's northern oil pipeline from Kirkuk to the Turkish port of Ceyhan has been shut down since militants dynamited the pipeline at the beginning of March. Iraq generated 7.576 billion dollars in oil revenue for April, Jihad said.
