OREANDA-NEWS.   Delta Air Lines (NYSE: DAL) announces the expansion of the SkyWish program to Latin America and the Caribbean. SkyMiles members flying in the region will be able to donate their miles to a group of selected charities supported by Delta.

“Through SkyWish program we demonstrate the commitment to our markets, engage with customers and make a difference,” said Nicolas Ferri, Deltaґs vice president for Latin America and Caribbean. “This is a positive enhancement to the SkyMiles program which provides customers with the flexibility to donate their miles and give back to the communities we serve”.

There are four globally recognized organizations that customers can designate their miles to:

Make-A-Wish International, granting wishes to courageous children around the world.
UNICEF, working to save and improve children’s lives, providing health care, clean water, nutrition, education, emergency relief, and more.
Habitat for Humanity International – an organization dedicated to providing families with safe, affordable and decent housing
CARE, delivering lasting change to the poorest communities in Latin America by empowering women to improve their lives and pursue their dreams.
SkyWish program supports Delta’s “Rules of the Road” as a foundation for Delta’s culture and allows Delta people to share corporate values with customers. The program is also made up of charities that form part of Delta’s Force for Global Good.
