OREANDA-NEWS. Belarus' output of all mineral fertilizers grew 7.2% on the year in January-March 2013 to 1.74 million tonnes, a representative of Belarus' Statistics Committee told.

The output of potash fertilizers grew 9.2% on the year in January-March to 1.465 million tonnes, nitrogen fertilizers - up 1.6% to 225,200 tonnes, and the production of phosphate fertilizers went down 17.6% to 49,900 tonnes in the period.

Chemical fibre and filament production reduced 3.6% to 50,900 tonnes.

Combined output of Belarus' chemical and petrochemical industry went up 5.3% on the year in January-March 2014 to 14.682 trillion Belarusian rubles (Br) in monetary terms (USD 1.471 billion at the NBB rate).

In value terms, inventories of mineral fertilizers were at 49.6% of the average monthly output, or 2.184 trillion rubles (USD 218.828 million) as of April 1, 2014.

Mineral fertilizer inventories reduced by 7.8% on the month as of April 1, 2014, up to 7,000 tonnes.
