OREANDA-NEWS. On May 21, 2014 a delegation of Chelyabinsk Region of the Russian Federation led by Alexei Bobrakov, Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of the Region. After a short tour about the BUCE the Russian guests were invited to the meeting room where they met with Arkady Salikov, Chairman of the Board of the BUCE, Edward Matulis, Deputy Minister of Trade, and Roman Rachkovski Head of the Exhibition and Logistics Activities of the Ministry of Trade.

The members of the Russian delegation received information about the BUCE's performance in 2013 and in Q1 2014 as well as about its plans for the nearest future. The sides also discussed accreditation of Chelyabinsk Region enterprises at BUCE and possibilities of using BUCE's electronic trading platform of consumer and industrial goods.

Alexei Bobrakov, Minister of Industry and Natural Resources of Chelyabinsk Region, voiced sincere interest in developing cooperation noting that the relations between Belarus and Chelyabinsk Region have reached a high level but their potential is yet be harnessed. In this regard, ramping up the interaction with BUCE and more active use of the exchange mechanism in trade is abound to have a major positive effect on the mutual turnover of Belarus and Chelyabinsk Region. BUCE administration, on its part, promised to provide all possible assistance and information support to Chelyabinsk Region companies willing to trade via the exchange.
