OREANDA-NEWS. May 26, 2014. The Round Table in Kazan on “Regional Protectionism, Restrictions and Prohibitions in Retail Sale of Alcohol Products” took place as part of the “Competition Support in Trading Activities” National Research-to-Practice Conference (Kazan).

Attendees included experts of FAS Fiscal Control Department, representatives of Tatarstan, Kursk and Samara Offices of FAS Russia, the State Alcohol Inspection of the Republic of Tatarstan, “Tatspirtprom” OJSC and other representatives of business-community.

During active discussions, the Round Table participants looked into the key issues in the industry: the government excise policy, combating an increase in counterfeit products, as well as the necessary measures towards developing competition in alcohol products sale.

“Events organized in the format of face-to-face contacts with representatives of business-community and regional authorities help efficiently reveal the industry issues and promptly identify the mechanisms to resolve them”, pointed out the Head of FAS Fiscal Control Department, Vladimir Mishelovin.
