OREANDA-NEWS.  Anhui province received 10.41 million tourists during the Dragon Boat festival holiday, up 8.31 percent year-on-year, according to the local tourism bureau.

Meanwhile, its tourism revenue rose 25.76 percent from the same period a year earlier to reach 3.96 billion yuan (USD 638.71 million).

On June 1, the second day of the three-day holiday, Huangshan Mountain welcomed 10,700 visitors, down 27.74 percent year-on-year. Its tourism income also declined 26.98 percent to 2.29 million yuan.

4,400 tourists visited Tianzhu Mountain on the same day, representing a year-on-year fall of 60 percent. The attraction recorded 237,000 yuan in tourism revenue, down 49.5 percent from the same period last year.

By contrast, Jiuhua Mountain saw a 7.66 percent year-on-year increase and a 7.85 percent year-on-year increase in the number of visits and the amount of ticket sales, respectively.

Wuhu Fantawild Adventure Amusement Park's revenue dropped 16.3 percent on June 1 and dipped 3 percent on June 2.

Anqing Five Thousand-Year Cultural Expo Park registered 610,000, 660,000 and 500,000 yuan in tourism revenue during the three-day holiday each, up 41.86 percent, 29.5 percent and 32.98 percent from a year ago. Bengbu Flower-Drum-Lantern Carnival Park posted an increase in ticket sales as well.
