OREANDA-NEWS.  Japanese delegation, being on a visit to Baku to attend the 21st Caspian International Oil & Gas Exhibition to be held on 3 - 6 June 2014, paid a visit to SOCAR. Welcoming the guests, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev thanked the delegation members for taking part in the exhibition.
As he said, the exhibition reflects achievements in oil and gas sector for the last 20 year period. Noting the developing relations between the two countries, Mr. Abdullayev mentioned that Japanese companies were the participants in Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli and Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan projects.

Expressing gratitude for sincere reception, Okada Kunio, the Director of Japanese Association for Trade with Russia and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, congratulated SOCAR President on the occasion of opening of the exhibition-conference. Informing on the Association operation, Okada Kunio said that currently about 140 Japanese companies were the members of the Association, which were willing to cooperate with Azerbaijan in energy and non-oil sector. Briefing on the regional projects carried out in Azerbaijan and Turkey, SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev said the Company was on the eve of launching more major projects.

He spoke about the opportunities for expanding cooperation relations between SOCAR and Japanese companies and expressed confidence in future development of these relations.
