OREANDA-NEWS.   Lufthansa customers looking to escape the cold season will in future have another destination to choose from. The new route between Munich and the Canary Island of Gran Canaria is set to start on 26 October, just in time for the autumn holidays in Bavaria. An Airbus A321 with 200 seats and two classes will fly to the airport of Las Palmas, the largest city in the Canary Islands. Lufthansa customers travelling to Gran Canaria will also be able to book a seat in Business Class.

Lufthansa will fly from Munich to the popular holiday destination between 26 October 2014 and 12 April 2015 on Sundays at 9.00 a.m. Lufthansa’s southern hub has good flight connections with German cities. On certain dates, in particular during holiday periods, a Saturday departure will also operate. Return fares start at €280, including all taxes, fees and charges.

Gran Canaria has a mild climate in winter too, making a beach holiday possible at any time of the year. The island, which is volcanic in origin, is unique because of its extremely diverse landscape and is popular among hikers.
