OREANDA-NEWS.  June 19, 2014. China's industrial production expanded at faster pace in May, adding to signs for a stabilizing economy, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).
 
The industrial added-value output rose 8.8 percent in May from a year ago, accelerating 0.1 percentage points from the April figure, the NBS data showed.

China's fixed asset investment surged 17.2 percent year on year to 15.37 trillion yuan (2.5 trillion U.S. dollars) in the first five months, the National Bureau of Statistics said.
 
The growth rate was 0.1 percentage points lower than that for the first four months.
