OREANDA-NEWS. Uralhimmash has successfully passed a recertification audit procedure to expand the ASME certification code (Section VIII Div. 1 and Div. 2) allowing manufacturing and marking of high-pressure vessels.

Audit procedures took place on June 2-3, 2014 and were accomplished by authorized inspector Erlandas Kinderis, authorized inspector supervisor Wilko Adams and Manager of the ASME audit group Eduard Hermans.

Following the results of the audit, the commission recommended extending Uralhimmash certificate for manufacture and marking of high-pressure vessels in compliance with ASME certification code (Section VIII Div. 1 and Div. 2).

In 2009 Uralhimmash was for the first time certified to manufacture high-pressure vessels in compliance with ASME code giving the right to put the “U” mark on the vessels. Two years later the certification was extended and in May 2011 Uralhimmash received the right to mark manufactured high-pressure vessels with “U2” symbol of the ASME code.

Successful re-certification audit of Uralhimmash gives evidence of the high technical level of the company's development and confirms that it manufactures product complying with international quality standards.

The received certificate is of great importance for foreign partners: Uralhimmash produced more than 1,000 tonnes of equipment for NPP in Pančevo, Serbia in accordance with ASME code requirements.
