OREANDA-NEWS. OJSC KAMAZ is participating in large-scale actions in Simferopol and Sevastopol to celebrate the finish of the motor race organized to promote natural gas as a vehicle fuel in Russia and 45th anniversary of OJSC KAMAZ.

The motorcade of the NGV rally organized by OJSC KAMAZ and its official distributor of NGVs OOO RariTEK jointly with the Russian Ministry of Energy crossed the finish line in Lenin’s square. The main purposes of the rally are to popularize an efficient and eco-friendly natural gas fuel and to improve the image of the largest Russian truck producer celebrating the 45th anniversary this year. The following models participated in the auto race: a NEFAZ-5299-30-51 city low-entry bus, a KAMAZ-6520-33 dump truck, a KAMAZ-4308 garbage truck, a KAMAZ-4911 racing truck of the KAMAZ-master team, a combination of a KAMAZ-5490-001-68 tractor unit and a NEFAZ-93341-15-08 semitrailer, and also a Bravis bus – the first gas-powered model of the joint venture set up by KAMAZ and Brazil’s Marcopolo.

Rustam Timergaleev, First Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, addressed the participants of the rally with an opening speech. The Crimeans also heard speeches delivered by Pavel Kanichev, Deputy Director General of Sales and Service of OJSC KAMAZ, and Kirill Molodtsov, Deputy Minister of Energy of the Russian Federation.

To support the multiethnic peoples of Crimea, the workers of KAMAZ raised more than 3.5 million roubles. Documents and tractors purchased for this sum were officially given to Roman Malafeev, Director General of GKRP Voda Kryma. The multipurpose vehicles will enable the residents of Crimea to work more efficiently.

After a press conference and a motor show, events were held in the area of Rusbusinessauto Trade and Service Center to be officially opened. With a speech of welcome, the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Crimea, the Republic of Tatarstan, OJSC KAMAZ, RBA addressed the audience. Then, an agreement was signed on cooperation between OJSC KAMAZ and the Republic of Crimea, and a tree of friendship was planted in honor of these memorable events.

Tomorrow, on June 12, the KAMAZ trucks will participate in festive events devoted to the Day of Russia, in the city of Sevastopol, and then return home.
