OREANDA-NEWS. The Belarusian head of government stressed that during the productive talks the sides had found solutions to many problems both at the macro level and for specific projects. In the near future the necessary documents will be signed to expand the legal base of bilateral cooperation, said Mikhail Myasnikovich. In his words, the Belarusian side has already suggested financial support mechanisms for implementing specific economic projects.

On the whole, as many as 11 avenues of Belarus-Mozambique cooperation are emerging, with three avenues earmarked as priority ones. Following the request of the Mozambican side those include full-cycle agricultural production, production of machines, including agricultural ones, and the development of the construction materials industry, specified the Prime Minister.

Since trained personnel are needed for implementing joint projects Belarus will provide several scholarships for training young people from Mozambique in Belarusian universities.

A Belarusian-Mozambican intergovernmental commission will be set up soon with a view to further developing and enhancing the bilateral partnership. Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister VasilySedinhas been nominated as the head of the Belarusian part of the commission.

At the end of the visit of the Mozambican delegation the prime ministers of the two countries signed a joint statement on 22 July. The deputy foreign ministers of the two countries signed a general agreement on cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Mozambique.

Prime Minister of Mozambique Alberto Vaquina expects that the level of the Mozambican economy will be increased via cooperation with Belarus.

"At present Mozambique is at the peak of its economic development. We hope and are confident that the Belarusian side will help us reach even greater results in economic development," said Alberto Vaquina.

Belarus' experience in various branches of economy primarily in the areas Mozambique prioritizes will contribute to reaching that goal. In particular, the Mozambican side expects that the experience of Belarusian colleagues will help advance the level of agricultural manufacturing.

"We are also very glad about the opportunities that open up before our specialists regarding the enhancement of their educational level in Belarus," noted Alberto Vaquina. In his words, on the whole the government of the Republic of Mozambique will do their best to implement the projects that were discussed in Minsk on 22 July.

The Prime Minister of Mozambique is convinced that the agreements that had been reached will surely contribute to the further advancement of the bilateral relations as well as the development of cultural ties between the two nations.?
