OREANDA-NEWS. JSC RusHydro (ticker symbol: MICEX-RTS, LSE: HYDR; OTCQX: RSHYY) announces operating results for the 2nd quarter and 1st half of 2014 of its branches and the companies of RusHydro Group reflected in consolidated financial statements.

Key highlights:

Expected decrease in electricity production by HPPs in most macro-regions in 2Q 2014 as a result of low snow packs and water inflows to major reservoirs as compared to the same period of 2013;

Total electricity generation by power plants of RusHydro Group in 2Q 2014 amounted to 29,819 GWh (-11.8%), in 1H 2014 - 60,939 GWh (-6.3%);

In 2Q 2014, total production by HPPs/PSPPs amounted to 23,781 GWh (-13.3%), in 1H 2014 - 46,526 GWh (-6.1%);

In 1H 2014, total water inflow to reservoirs of the Volga-Kama cascade was lower than long-run average, to the Sayano-Shushenskaya HPP reservoir- close to long-run average, to Kolymskaya HPP reservoir - 2x higher than normal;

The electricity generation by the plants of RAO ES of East in 2Q 2014 - 6,290 GWh (-5.1%), in 1H 2014 - 15,283 GWh (-6.4%);

The electricity generation by the Boguchanskaya hydropower plant in 2Q 2014 amounted to 2,551 GWh (+209.6%), in 1H 2014 - 4,243 GWh (+161.4%);

Water inflow to reservoirs of major hydropower plants of RusHydro Group in 3Q 2014 is expected to be close to long-run average.

In the 2nd quarter of 2014, total electricity generation by power plants of RusHydro amounted to 29,819 GWh, a 11.8% decrease as compared to the same period of 2013, total power generation in the 1st half of 2014 amounted to 60,939 GWh (-6.3%). In the 2nd quarter of 2014, hydropower (HPPs) and pumped storage power plants (PSPPs) of RusHydro Group decreased electricity generation by 13.3% to 23,781 GWh, in the 1st half of 2014 - by 6.1% to 46,526 GWh, output by thermal (TPPs) and geothermal plants located in the Far East of Russia in the 2nd quarter of 2014 decreased by 5.2% to 6,038 GWh, in the 1st half of 2014 output decreased by 6.6% to 14,412 GWh.
