OREANDA-NEWS. Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant (BVP Open Joint Stock Company, based in the Republic of Bashkortostan, part of United Metallurgical Company, OMK CJSC, Moscow) has successfully tested a pilot ball valve with a diameter of 700 mm with a pressure of PN 8.0 MPa. This is the largest size in the mid-size range of ball valves.

Ball valves are used for main gas pipelines, as well as gas collection and preparation points at the compressor and gas distribution stations. Having a minimum resistance, this type of valve is ideal for transporting various substances and ensures their safety at all branches of the pipeline.

“Launching the ball valves opens up new horizons for Blagoveshchensk Valves Plant. This includes increasing the volume of valves deliveries, expanding the sales markets, and getting an opportunity to win a niche in a sector that is new to the factory. The most important thing is that we can now meet the demands of our main clients - the leading oil and gas companies - even better,” said Alexander Kozhevnikov, Managing Director at BVP.

Synchronized work by BVP and the Trubotedal factory (Trubodetal Open Joint Stock Company, based in Chelyabinsk, part of OMK) within OMK's Pipeline Valves and Fittings Division makes it possible to manufacture new types of products along the full production cycle without resorting to any third parties.
