OREANDA-NEWS. In June this year at the meeting of the Commission for Strategic Development of the Fuel and Energy Sector and Environmental Security Russian President Vladimir Putin specified the decreased dependence on the fuel and energy complex from foreign supplies as guidelines for the RF industrial sector.

On August 2014, Moscow held the meeting regarding the issues on import substitution in the gas industry and the increase of Russian goods share in the framework of the specified development strategy of the fuel and energy complex. "New Technologies of the Gas Industry" Equipment Manufacturers Association convened the meeting, and Vitaly Markelov, the Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, held the meeting. Over 190 people participated at the event - representatives of OAO Gazprom, Gazprom Komplektatsiya LLC and enterprises-members of "New Technologies of the Gas Industry" Equipment Manufacturers Association.

Vitaly Markelov, the Deputy Chairman of Gazprom's Management Committee, marked that for that moment OAO Gazprom had elaborated and signed with the regional and major machine-building enterprises the roadmaps aimed at extending of Russian enterprises participation and development of import substitution of foreign-made equipment, including equipment for production of domestic machinery for hydrocarbon extraction on the shelf, in order to involve leading Russian industrial capacity to master the world-class products.

"I believe that today's discussion in chambers with the engagement of the Association and leading industry enterprises will allow us to take the optimal decision to minimize the adjustments of the future projects and to ensure energy security of the country in the current geopolitical conditions," Vitaly Markelov said.

Delivering a report, Ruslan Goryukhin, the Executive Director of "New Technologies of the Gas Industry" Equipment Manufacturers Association and the CEO of LLC "STROYGAZMONTAZH" emphasized the readiness of Russian enterprises to achieve the goals, setted by the government to the fuel and energy complex. He cited examples of successful projects implementation on import equipment substitution by domestic equivalent. One of them is the manufacturing of unitized gas pumping unit, which consists 100 % of Russian components.

Based on the results of the meeting, the demand for foreign-manufactured products of the main customers, OAO Gazprom's subsidiaries, were proposed to be specified to compile a list, recommended by enterprises-members of the Association for the mastering, as well as the assortment were proposed to be expanded, including components which were previously bought abroad.
