OREANDA-NEWS. September 04, 2014. In particular, LUKOIL-Moldova raised the price from MDL 9.97 to MDL 10.57 a litre, Tirex-Petrol increasing the price from MDL 9.95 to MDL 10.55 per litre.

Let’s remind that in mid July 2014, fuel traders of Moldova reduced the prices for liquefied gas by MDL 0.4 per litre from MDL 9.97 to MDL 9.57 due to a stronger position the Moldovan Leu took against key foreign currencies. Later, due to the same reason, the prices for liquefied gas have started growing again.

The National Energy Regulatory Agency has not given any comment on the current rise in the prices yet. In should be noted that the Moldovan Leu has devaluated 2.2% against USD over the last fortnight. While on August 19 NBM’s official rate was MDL 13.72 against USD 1, on September 2 it was MDL 14.02.
