OREANDA-NEWS. Konstantin Sokolov, First Vice-President of FESCO and General Director of Commercial Port of Vladivostok is appointed President of FESCO Transportation Group. Ruslan Alikhanov will proceed as member of the Board of Directors of FESCO.

"During his year and a half tenure at FESCO Ruslan accomplished the most important goal set by the shareholders. Under his leadership the new long-term strategy of the company until 2020 has been developed. According to the strategy, FESCO should strengthen its position as the largest transportation group in Russia, connecting the Russia's Far East, Asia and Europe by shipping lines and Trans-Siberian container trains", says Alexander Vinokurov, President of the Summa Group (shareholder of FESCO).

Ruslan Alikhanov has resigned in order to pursue his own projects. "The decision was pre-agreed with the major shareholders: Summa Group and TPG. I am sincerely grateful to shareholders of FESCO for the cooperation and the opportunities. Now I'll take care of the implementation of my own projects, and I would like to continue my career in my new capacity "- Alikhanov said.

The new President of FESCO Konstantin Sokolov has extensive experience in the transportation industry. Having graduated from the Leningrad Higher Naval Engineering School named after Admiral Makarov, Konstantin Sokolov worked as General Director of JSC "Baltlesport", headed the Commercial Sea Port "Ust-Luga". Since September 2013 - Vice-president of FESCO, Ports Division, and General Director of Commercial Port of Vladivostok.
